Yesterday, for Silver Week, we went to Odaiba to check out Meat Fest! It is a festival. Of meat. Truly amazing. Here are some pics.
Brazilian BBQ. Amazing sauce that went well with the steak, chicken, and the sausage. This was the priciest food we ordered, but there is no doubt it was the best. EDIT: For those of you that are also interested in making this sauce (trust me, it’s amazing) I managed to find a really great website that gives the names of the different sauces used in South American BBQ and used that to find some additional links for molho à campanha, which is the sauce pictures above. (Note: that second link is in Portuguese but google translate and you should be fine.)
Here is shot of the meat fest stands and some lines. The lines got much longer after 19:00.
Here is a kabob we got and a good example of asking for no mayo beforehand. Instead, we got a ketchup based sauce, which was still good. Seriously; if you hate mayo then you have to be careful ordering at all times.
An El Savadorian Pupusa! It was the last thing we ordered and it was so awesome! I’ve never had one before, but it was great! It also came with some lightly pickled vegetables and a tomato sauce.
Meat Fest! So happy!
Here is a shot of Meat Fest When we were taking our leave to go to a nearby arcade. By the way, if you’re in Odaiba, that arcade is totally worth it. Tokyo Leisure Land. Great stuff.
