Surprise! It’s ramen!
Before heading to the airport we decided to stop at one last ramen place.
Called, Daiki, this place is known for it’s lighter salt-based broths. On our way in, an excited Japanese businessman informed us that it is “number one”.
The umeshio (salt with a hint of Japanese pickled plum) was excellent, and included strips of fried tofu skin, something I’ve never seen in ramen before.
The shio ramen included some fresh greens and wontons.
It was very good, even prompting my mother to call it the best of the trip.
