The Final Meal of the Trip: Daiki

Surprise! It’s ramen!

Before heading to the airport we decided to stop at one last ramen place.

Called, Daiki, this place is known for it’s lighter salt-based broths. On our way in, an excited Japanese businessman informed us that it is “number one”.

IMG_0829.JPGThe umeshio (salt with a hint of Japanese pickled plum) was excellent, and included strips of fried tofu skin, something I’ve never seen in ramen before.

The shio ramen included some fresh greens and wontons.IMG_0830.JPG

It was very good, even prompting my mother to call it the best of the trip.
