Recently I had some sushi cravings, so we set out to try two new places: one place near us and one place a short ways away.
The first place was near us, Sakana Bacca. I have no idea what that name is meant to translate to, but sakana means fish. Baka is idiot in Japanese, but I don’t know what bacca means.
It was pretty good, but I was still feelin’ the need for sushi.
To quench the sushi thirst, we went to Katsu, which is a kaitenzushi (sushi-go-round) that we hadn’t been to before. It was good, but super confusing; when we got there, they sat us at a table with no ordering device, which other tables were equipped with, and we had to write out our orders in Japanese. A little strange, but the sushi was good. If you go, be sure to get a table with an iPad or you might be in for a real life Japanese test.
